Application of Arrays

Arrays are lab-on-chip devices that enable the detection of large amounts of biological materials simultaneously. Lab-on-a-chip multiplex assays allow for automated and rapid identification of multiple parameters. Arrays have a wide range of applications in biotechnology and medicine, such as identification of new genes, research on gene function and expression, the discovery of targets and drugs, diagnostics, prognostics, and pharmacogenomics. Different types of arrays have been developed and widely used as effective tools for studying phosphorylation events, identifying kinase/phosphatase substrates, and screening kinases and phosphatases as potential therapeutic targets.
